Largest rooftop solar project in the United Arab Emirates - Warner Bros. World

Emerge and Miral teamed up to complete a very special project at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi - and meteocontrol provided significant support: the largest rooftop solar project in the United Arab Emirates capital. Through the 7 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) project, which includes 13,000 solar modules spanning over 36,000 square meters, the theme park is now 40 percent solar-powered, reducing its carbon footprint significantly.

meteocontrol was able to convince with its cost-effectiveness and feasibility. VCOM Cloud is the only renewable energy asset management platform that improves the performance of the assets portfolio and thus creates more profit from the plant production. In addition, our open platform combines professional monitoring, digitalized service management and reliable data hosting to offer our partners every opportunity to work efficiently and cost-optimized.

The project contributes to the United Arab Emirates Energy Strategy 2050 target, which aims to see renewable energy make up 44 percent of the country’s clean energy mix by 2050. On-site commissioning was carried out by AMANA, an EPC contractor and meteocontrol partner in the region.
