In the last articles about #VCOM, we were discussing a lot about how to interface with different parties and how to increase the quality of daily O&M workflows. Today we will speak about the integration of solar PV plants in the grid. Most of us, reading this article, dream of a 100 % renewable energy based electricity market.

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11th we would like to give you a glimpse behind the scences of our company. Magdalena Klimm graduated from the University of Augsburg in 2019 with a degree in computer science and has been working for us as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer since November last year.

I have to admit: 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year - that would be a little bit too optimistic. But the VCOM was available > 99,9 % of the time in the last 5 years - almost done. With this side note I would like to start into todays topic: How do you interface with your clients? What could be better compared to today?

The interface with your technicians is one side. In the last article we focused on the question, how this interface can be optimized. Besides the technicians on the one hand, there are the colleagues internally on the other. I am sure you are constantly interfacing with your colleagues, team members and with management. 

Although you can fine tune alarms and reduce the amount of false alarms to a minimum, from time to time plants will have problems and defects. Inverters break. The cabling is too attractive for animals. Modules have degradation problems and need to be exchanged. You will find many more examples, when it is simply necessary to go on site. Our human intelligence and our hands are needed.
