Solar Park Illertissen-Tiefenbach

The solar park is located between the A7 highway and Tiefenbach, a district of the city of Illertissen, Neu-Ulm County, in Bavaria. More than 16,000 solar modules with a total output of 7,105 kilowatts are mounted on the six-hectare facility and supply green electricity. This means that 2,000 four-person households can be supplied with the expected 8 million kilowatt hours per year. In addition, around 5,000 tons of CO2 will be saved each year. The project is being financed by the participation of Illertissen citizens and regional cooperative banks.

Already in the planning phase, meteocontrol determined the expected yield and the expected system performance of the Illertissen-Tiefenbach solar park by means of a yield evaluation - taking into account specific local factors as well as weather and irradiation data. In addition, an independent technical inspection after the commissioning ensured the quality of the plant and defects were identified and corrected at an early stage.
