Privacy Policy blue’Log

Information pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR on the use of blue'Log

Responsibility for data processing

meteocontrol GmbH
Pröllstr. 28
86157 Augsburg

Purposes and legal basis of data processing

A user account is required to use the blue'Log software. This requires a username, a password, and an e-mail address. A (further) e-mail address can be stored in the user account to receive notifications about alarms registered by blue'Log.

The username and e-mail address(es) are stored locally on the logger's SD card and, if the "VCOM Cloud Backups" function is used, also in the VCOM Cloud. meteocontrol can view the username and e-mail address(es) (e.g. support if remote service access is activated).

The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR (fulfillment of our contractual services (including support services)). Furthermore, the processing of personal data serves IT security (protection against attacks by false login attempts). The legal basis is then Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Access to your data is defined according to a rights and roles concept and is only permitted to the group of persons required for the respective purpose.

Storage duration or criteria for determining the duration

We only store the data you have provided to us for as long as necessary to fulfill the aforementioned purposes or as stipulated by the various storage periods provided for by law.

If the respective purpose no longer applies or after the corresponding periods have expired, your data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

We have created an internal company concept to ensure this procedure.

Transfer of your data to recipients

We only transfer your personal data to third parties if this is permitted by law or if you have given your consent. However, data is not transferred to recipients in this case.

Data transfer to a third country or an international organization

Third countries are countries in which the GDPR is not directly applicable law. This basically includes all countries outside the EU or the European Economic Area.

No data is transferred to a third country or an international organization without a legal basis.

Revocation

If the processing is based on consent, you have the option at any time to revoke the use of your data for internal purposes with effect for the future. All you need to do is send an email to datenschutz@meteocontrol.de. Of course, you have the option of sending your revocation in writing by post to the following address meteocontrol GmbH, Pröllstraße 28, 86157 Augsburg.

Reference to the respective data subject rights

You have the right to receive information from us about the data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR). You can also request that we correct incorrect personal data about you (Art. 16 GDPR). If applicable, you can request that the personal data processed about you be deleted (Art. 17 GDPR) or that the processing be restricted (Art. 18 GDPR). In certain cases, you also have the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). Under certain circumstances, you can also object to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR).
